I took some time today to get Google Webmaster Tools setup for BMR. Google describes this service as "Free tools for webmasters to make your site more Google-friendly". Here's a run down of what you can expect from Google when using Webmaster Tools.
Google Webmaster Tools provides you with detailed reports about your pages' visibility on Google. To get started, simply add and verify your site and you'll start to see information right away.
Get Google's view of your site and diagnose problemsSee how Google crawls and indexes your site and learn about specific problems we're having accessing it.
Discover your link and query trafficView, classify, and download comprehensive data about internal and external links to your site with new link reporting tools. Find out which Google search queries drive traffic to your site, and see exactly how users arrive there.
Share information about your siteTell us about your pages with Sitemaps: which ones are the most important to you and how often they change. You can also let us know how you would like the URLs we index to appear.

Google Webmaster Tools was EXTREMELY easy to install. They give you a meta tag to insert into your header on your site. You then click "verify" from within Google Webmaster Tools, and voila! You're done and ready to reap the benefits of siding with Google. I haven't had a lot of spare time to play with all the features but check back soon as I'm sure I'll be mucking 'round with it. Check it out for your self! It's free, easy, and so far extremely beneficial! We'll get into that later.
